Heather McGeorge Bio

As Chief Legal Officer & General Counsel of Ankh Impact Ventures, Heather is a lawyer, Canadian Chartered Accountant, U.S. Certified Public Accountant, and financial planner. In May 2022 Heather graduated cum laude from Fordham University, New York with an LL.M in fashion law. She is keenly interested in sustainable solutions in the fashion industry, fashion design, fashion tech and art law.

Heather has over 20 years’ combined international accounting firm, legal and Family Office experience resolving tax disputes, providing tax planning and compliance services to high net worth clients in a domestic and cross-border context. Her areas of expertise include Canadian and U.S. personal tax, corporate tax for private corporations, estate planning for high net worth executives and entrepreneurs. She also holds an LL.M in taxation law from Osgoode Hall Law School, Toronto.

Heather is a member of the New York City Bar and is a past member of the Ontario Bar Association’s Tax Section Executive as the Continuing Legal Education Liaison and Assistant Editor of the Tax Section Newsletter. Heather is working towards becoming licensed to practice in the States of New York and California. For the past 8 years she has been Treasurer of the Volunteer Committee, The National Ballet of Canada.
